Rachel's love of food and people began at her family's kitchen table when she was just a little girl. She grew up in Israel near a port city on the seashore, where neighbors would greet one another and doors were always open, allowing the smell of home cooked meals to waft into the street.

 

As a young adult she studied special education and literature, and over the course of her career was fortunate to work as a personal coach to many diverse individuals across the U.S., Mexico, Europe, and The Middle East.

 

Rachel speaks 4 languages, including French, Hebrew, Spanish, and English, and currently resides in Miami, FL. Rachel was married to Shimon Sarfati for over 28 years until his passing in 2016. They share 5 children and a grandchild.
